I worked on this block Jan 12th
It is an Anna Williams Inspired creation.

I have felt a strong urge to work in red as I move away from Christmas and move toward Valentines Day.

Process: As I work on other projects I keep my small white scraps in one bag and the small red in another. If I have two triangles in front of me I sew them together. If I have a bunch of white itty bitty scraps I will sew them together. I will sew the bits together in a strip from 1 1/2” to 2” and anywhere in between.
I played with these small pieces today.
I am using a scissors to cut these strips. I often need to give my right arm a rest from using a rotary cutter.
I came across this wonderful blue fabric this morning and it is just perfect for this project.
I attach the blue strip at a 45 degree angle to the red strips string pieced together. I then make certain the strip of red and white fabrics are at least 2” longer than the blue and I sew that on. I then add the next blue and then the strips of red. Once it is all together I trim it up.
Once I have multiple blocks made I will figure out the layout and what filler strips I will need.
I love designing a quilt as I make progress. It continually evolves as the different fabrics and little pieces speak to me.
