Here is a pic from last summer. I have 5 panels complete with small 9 x 1 1/2 inch cat squares. Today I cut two more sets of cat squares from small print fabrics I have in my stash.
Here is a sampling of the 7 cat fabrics
I have been working on this quilt for a few years now. It hangs year round in my laundry room. As I work on other projects I cut 1 1/2 strips of fabric that have to be at least 14 inches long to make the nine small squares I need.
I collected cat fabric for years and have two small bins full. I have never finished using one full fat quarter. It will feel strange when I know I have used up every bit of one of these fabrics.
As you can see I took out a row of fabric. It was the burgundy stripe fabric I needed for my mom’s “Many Trips Around The World” quilt. I hope to put a similar burgundy fabric back into this spot.
