It’s been a two week process of drawing the sunflower, reducing it because it was 8 1/2 inches and I needed it between 6 1/2 an d7 inches.

The reversing it so I could draw it on the back of the crazy patchwork.

I have been carrying it around with me to get a few stitches in here and there. I just need to cut it down now to the 7 1/2 inch size and add it to a row on the quilt.

I did some rows of small segments of fabric and then added them to the 4 corners. I like the look and it allows me to use up some pretty small pieces.

I still have to draw the lines on each petal and get them sewn. I guess I am not finished after looking at this photo. hah!

This has been on my to do list for a long time…

The Amish square in a square is not quilted yet. It is still a top. The Signature Basket quilt just needs the alternate blocks quilted. The top pink quilts was a Christmas gift from one of the members of the Tuesday quilters group I am in. The carrot quilt is finished (except for a label). No quilt is finished unless it has a label on it.

A friend of mine retired two years ago. Every day in May I would wish her “Happy May Day”. She liked it so much. Each time I said it she would have the best smile on her face ever.
This is a vintage light weight sheet type blanket. I fell in love with it years ago and had to have it.

I love a good thrift store buy.

The as is – is because of this corner that has come loose.

and this is the back of the quilt.

I selected and block and then counted down until I found the repeat. There are 10 different blocks going down and 4 different blocks going across.

That would make 40 different designs but I noticed there is one block repeated twice and another repeated “thrice”.

There is one seam down the center of the back.

I think it is pretty cool that the quilter matched the squares and the colors.

If you  like vintage fabric you know why I purchased this quilt!

The main themes are birds and flowers.

I could make an entire quilt by applique of these designs.
