The snow fell last night just in time for our neighborhood holiday celebration. My son and I enjoyed being outside selling tickets for the ice block that was being carved with a small chain saw into a large snow flake. I would yell “come see this wonderful ice carving. Tickets 50 cents each or 3 for a dollar” One woman came up and purchased 2 dollars worth. This is our 13th year of the festival. She won the sculpture two years in a row!!! Her neighbor was there too purchasing tickets as well. She was determined to win it over her neighbor. We love neighborly competition.
I really enjoy being outside and watching the horse drawn wagons. One wagon this year was covered and just perfect. The tree outside the coffee shop had a lighting ceremony at 6pm and that was the beginning of the night.
